Although I'd wished the one I then took
And she with me had likewise stood
Two roads converged in our drying wood
And I, I took the one less understood
To see that it made no difference.

Heave mightily, in the celerity of time,
ReplyDeleteTranscend, complete the fullness of my dreams
Have I asked for too much or aimed too high?
A billion thimbles bursting at the seams
Add up to only half a glass
...A rose in verse - a mighty flower
ReplyDeletePink fragrant petals on a thorny tower
But prose has yet a stronger power
In short, where's my fucking STORY?
A verse, averse
ReplyDeleteAverse to rhymes that make me cower
To silly metaphors that leave me sour
To words so strange I want to take a shower
Allusions at which i can only glower
Illusions, I would let you keep,
but life will soon devour...
